Last fall the theme for the photography club meeting at the Havre de Grace Library was Autumn Colors. To make it more challenging this October, the librarian changed it to Autumn Colors In Unexpected Places. Most of the pictures were of objects that had fall colors. Here are my entries in the order that they were shown,.
I chose this summer picture of a butterfly because of its colors and the unusual angle. One person commented on the stripes on the antennae. This was voted the second favorite of my set.
Even though I took this picture of a buckeye butterfly in the summer, the dead grass gives it an autumn feeling.
The harvest moon when it was low in the sky and not its normal white color. It’s both an autumn object and an autumn color. It was chosen as the favorite of my pictures.
I took pictures of a backyard wedding on October 1st. The arbor for the ceremony was decorated with fall colors.
The wedding reception name cards were attached to gourds.
A centerpiece and other autumn-themed decorations.
Owen liked to play with the gourds.Someone suggested the caption, “Please give me a fork.”
You can’t be much more unexpected than a horse dressed for Halloween. This is Emily (girl) with Tina (horse) in 2007.
Like the others, I had some trouble finding autumn colors. I selected the wedding pictures because it had an autumn theme.
